Three police officers sustained injuries after a crude bomb exploded while they were on duty near the Tinmatha intersection of Gabtoli upazila in Bangladesh's Bogura District on 13 November afternoon, the last day of the 36-hour blockade called by the BNP and its allies.

The injured officials–Sub-Inspector Abdul Kuddus, Sub-Inspector Enamul Haque, and Assistant Sub-Inspector Joydeb Saha of Gabtoli Model Police Station, were admitted to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Gabtoli Model Police Station Abul Kalam Azad said the policemen were on duty during the blockade. The crude bomb exploded near the police officials after a procession, led by Gabtoli municipal BNP, in support of the blockade passed the Tinmatha intersection of the upazila sadar around 2 pm.

He said two unexploded crude bombs were recovered during that time. He, however, said no one was arrested in connection.
