A maize-laden truck was set on fire by some miscreants in the Anandsagar area near Dinajpur M Abdur Rahim Medical College in the early hours of Monday.
On Sunday night, Gulzar Hossain, left his truck parked on the side of the road. Then on Monday morning, some unidentified individuals set fire to the truck and fled the area.
The police and fire service rushed to the spot and managed to bring the fire under control; by that time the truck's cabin was gutted in the fire, but no one was injured.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Dinajpur Sadar Circle) Sheikh Jinnah Al Mamun said the police are trying to identify and arrest the perpetrators.
